Favorite Event every Year? ASA Classic

What is your most memorable experience in archery? The first time I ever won a top three finish and got to step foot on the podium at a national event was an amazing experience, but my most memorable experience is watching my students grow in this sport and seeing them reach their personal goals and podium in national events themselves. This has been by far the most rewarding and memorable experience yet.

Best piece of advice for upcoming archers?  Don’t get caught up in the emotions of winning.  Winning is not everything and you will win some and lose some. Although I am very competitive and usually the person that almost feels like I am not having fun unless I am winning, I have learned there is much more to this sport.  Enjoy learning how to shoot, have fun as you’re doing it, set goals, say prayers, and you can achieve whatever your mind believes!

Something Unique/Interesting about Blakelee: I can play the fiddle/violin.  I started taking fiddle lessons when I was five years old.
