NEWBERRY, Florida - The 2018 Easton Foundation’s Gator Cup is always popular thanks to the sunny weather, fantastic venue and incredible competition. This year was no exception with over 500 shooters competing.

Team Hoyt’s Matt Sullivan, shooting his Hoyt Prevail, took the top spot on the Men’s Compound podium, knocking off big-name archer’s all along the way. His final match, the gold medal match, was an intense, hard fought match that ended in a tie. Matt had tied this particular competitor in the past and lost the one arrow shoot-off to him, but not this time. This was Matt’s time and he clinched the gold medal with a one arrow closest to center shoot-ff.

Team Hoyt’s Matt Sullivan prevailed after many grueling matches to take home the Gold Medal.

In the Women’s Compound Division, Linda Ochoa-Anderson set a new Match-Play World Record shooting a perfect 150 with 11X’s in her finals match, also earning her a spot on the podium. This is Linda’s second podium appearance in a week, following up her podium finish in Redding, California last week at the NFAA Marked 3D. Linda also won the NFAA Indoor Nationals and a Bronze at the Arizona Cup this seaon. Her Hoyt Prevail is dialed and Linda can’t wait for what’s next.

Brady Ellison, Crispin Duenes and Matt Requa swept the Men’s Recurve division, making it an all Hoyt podium finish taking places 1, 2 and 3 respectively. The three Hoyt teammates were all shooting the Hoyt Formula Faktor with X-Tour limbs.

Other notable finishes for Team Hoyt shooters this weekend were Mackenzie Brown who won silver in the Women’s Recurve Division, Louis Price with the second highest qualification score in Men’s Compound Division for the weeekend (and this one week after taking 3rd place in Redding at the NFAA Marked 3D), and Toja Ellison who shot the high sore for the weekend in the Women’s Compound Division. Congratulations to all shooters who competed in the 2018 Easton Foundation’s Gator Cup.
