Team Hoyt showed up ready to perform this past week during the first stage of the 2015 Archery World Cup.

With Hoyt shooters filling many of the top-ranked positions in the World Cup circuit, it was expected that it would be a Hoyt dominated competition. True to form, the top shooters in the world stood atop the podium with their Hoyt’s held high once the dust settled!

While there are many memorable accomplishments to be told of the outstanding performances by all Team Hoyt shooters, Hoyt Pro Staff members Sebastian Peineau and Reo Wilde created quite the buzz with their outstanding individual presentations.

In Reo Wilde’s match against fellow Team Hoyt shooter Peter Elzinga, Reo shattered his own previous world record of 150 - 10X by shooting a jaw-dropping 150 – 12X. A truly amazing accomplishment and 1 of 3 World Records that have been set with Podium X Elite since its inception!

Following his match against Peter, Reo found himself head to head with another familiar face, Sebastian Peineau.  After a heated competition Sebastian pulled ahead, defeating Reo 149-148, and moved on to the Hoyt-filled Semifinal rounds. Holding 3 of the 4 semifinal positions, it was inevitable that Team Hoyt shooters would stand tall on the final podium, a well-deserved feat for their incredible performances.

When all was said and done, Sebastian came out victorious over Mike Schloesser winning the gold medal for the second year in a row! A big ‘Team Hoyt’ congratulation to both Sebastian and Mike on their honorable finishes.

Sebastian and Mike are all smiles as they take home the Gold and Silver medals after a great match!

Prior to the Men’s finals, Team Hoyt shooters, Sara Lopez, Linda Ochoa and Stephanie Salinas set the tone for the boys by bringing home all three medals, a complete Hoyt podium sweep in women’s compound! Way to go ladies!

With Stage 2 of the World Cup right around the corner, Hoyt shooters continue to set their sights on the podium. Stay tuned as Team Hoyt carries on an amazing year and continues to dominate the competition proving that Hoyt is indeed #BuiltToWin.
