Bow Used: magnatec

I recenty went on a bowhunt in the eastern shore of Maryland for Sitka deer. I have never hunted these animals before but I had heard they are some of the toughest animals to hunt. We had hunted for 1-1/2 days and heard a lot of bugeling from the stags but had not seen anything. I asked the guide if he minded if used my portable and found my own place to set up. I set up on the edge of a marsh and heard this stag call from the other side. Soon after I heard him walking through the marsh headed right for me. I soon could see his antlers and could tell he was a shooter. He stepped out and turned and I stopped him with a whistle. I made a perfect 20-yard shot with my Hoyt, and he only ran about 50 yards and dropped. It turns out that this stag will probably score in the top ten ever killed with a bow on the Eastern Shore. Not bad for my first sitka deer hunt ... thanks to my Hoyt, which has never let me down.
