Bow Used: 07 vulcan

This was my first bear hunt at Crooked Tree Lodge in Portage Lake, Maine. I arrived on the Sunday before opening day, met myguide and his wife and they briefed me as to how everything would go. I woke up Monday morning and couldn't have been more excited. The weather was perfect. We ate breakfast and I shot an extra long practice session - the Vulcan was dead on. My stand was 65 miles from camp so we left a little early to get there, the guide did an awsome job with the stand sight. At about 7:10 p.m. on the first night this georgous bear came into range. I took it at 15 yards. This is the first animal I killed with this bow, and there will be many more to come. Thanks to Hoyt for making the best bows in the world! Chuck Kitchenman Woodbury, NJ
